Anne's Misdiagnosis story
Anne Kable was diagnosed in 2019 with tenosynovial giant cell tumor which was confirmed by pathology after surgery. However, Anne was told she had “giant cell tumor” leading to it being treated as giant cell tumor of the bone. After several recurrences and denosumab treatment, she joined the GCTB and TGCT Support groups where she learned she was likely receiving treatment for a disease she did not have. Through self-advocacy, Anne has established a new treatment plan and is empowered by the fact that she is at the helm of her health now. We are so grateful Anne is sharing her story and she hopes this educates others and prevent this from happening again.
